On Monday, Trussville and Center Point, Alabama, were hit hard by severe storms. NorthStar Church is partnering with West Ridge Church, Samritan's Purse, Carl Black Auto Team, and other organizations to help the areas ravaged by tornadoes. Here's how you can help!
CANNED FOOD: The biggest need right now is food. Some of the churches that have been feeding victims and volunteers are running out of food. We need you to bring in canned food now through Sunday, February 5, to our True North building where our offices are. Remember that we have no services on campus this Sunday, January 29. Our offices are normally open 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
ON SITE HELP: Another big need is for volunteers to help with clearing out debris. We need volunteers to go help this Saturday, January 28, or this Tuesday, January 31. We will depart NorthStar Church at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday and at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Return time the same day will be whenever we finish the jobs we are doing. We are renting vans so we need to know if you are going to know how many vans to rent. Contact NorthStar missions director Marsha James at marsha.james@northstarchurch.org.
Other organizations who are partnering in this effort include: Northpark Baptist Church, Trussville, AL; Gleaning for the World; First Baptist Church, Woodstock, GA; Tip Top Poultry, Marietta, GA; and The Church @ Northside, Rome, GA.
